With a lot of scheduled maintenance, upgrades and TLC on the cards, Enterprize is taking some time off to get herself ship-shape and ready to sail again. Once restrictions allow, her yards will be hoisted, her freshly-tarred hemp rigging will be re-run, and her flax canvas sails bent on.
Our public and school sailing programs will be on hiatus during this time, and Enterprize will be chilling out at home port for her tall ship makeover. Follow our Facebook page and website for updates on her maintenance and the new sailing schedule when she takes to sea again.
To everyone who contributes to this ship in big ways and small, through volunteering with us, sailing with us, or just loving us from afar – a big Bravo Zulu, and our heartfelt thanks. There’s a lot to do to keep this very special ship at sea year after year, and we’re looking forward to sailing with everyone again soon.

Discover The Enterprize
The 27-metre topsail schooner Enterprize is a replica of the tall ship that brought the first European settlers from Tasmania to found the city of Melbourne in 1835. Her mission is to provide all Victorians with the opportunity to experience life on board a 19th-century sailing ship. Enterprize is sailed by a crew of volunteers from all walks of life and is managed by the Enterprize Ship Trust on behalf of the people of Victoria.
